Aldebaran is a feminine theatrical group from Skien in Norway. It is an alternative to pop-cultural works for the masses. In the group, young artistis develop various theatre and circus skills: achrobatics, juggling, or stilt dancing. Children create performances based on Nordic mithology and adapt classical dramatic texts like Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Norway is a highly developed country with a low unemployment rate, where extreme poverty hardly exists. However, social strustures often collapse and most young Norwegians come from broken homes.
