The Donya Institute is a non-governmental organization, established in 1994. Its motto is: To understand the culture, you need to learn it first. The children of Donya learn respect for other cultures by creating performances based on poems, songs and other works, revealing Iranian culture and its ancient ways of connecting others with the rest of the world.
Tehran is where we live, where we started becoming friends about ten years ago when we started school. Through the years our friendship has exceeded school hours. Like any other group, ours also has always had its ups and downs but we have survived our disagreements! And that's because we have always tried to believe in one another and in the power of diversity. We are trying to prove it to ourselves that even if our differences insist on the opposite, it is possible to work together and enjoy being beside one another.
