Ukuleles for Peace IZRAEL

The sounds of unity.

For many years, the world community has not been able to resolve the growing tension between Jews and Arabs. The territory of the state of Israel is full of conflict, hatred and fear. Ukelele for Peace is a grassroots project of a charismatic marriage, by Paul Moore and Daphny Orion, which involves Arab and Jewish children in a common game on the ukulele (small, four-stringed guitars). The music-making idea is aimed at the peaceful coexistence between the two peoples. Marriage is trying to instil in the children the opportunity of inspiring and creating a sincere social solidarity, which leads to creative development and reconciliation. Whole families are included in the project, who together organise concerts, excursions and picnics. Ukuleles For Peace wants to create "peace tomorrow," travelling around the world in opposition to aggression, wars and all conflict. Whatever one’s background and religious affiliation, it’s possible to build real interpersonal relationships based on friendship and peace - this is also what Brave Kids is all about.
