Tylko nie bajka (Not a fairytale) is the title of a performance created in a Dębak refugee centre near Warsaw. This is a place where immigrants find temporary refuge. Amung the adults stagnation and paralysis fill the camp. Yet children attend schools and try to live normal lives. There is a constant flow, both in and out of the camp, of refugees from around the world. Many come from regions that are dominated by violence. The performance was started by children from Eritrea and Sudan and finished by children from Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Belarus, and Poland. The leaders of the group, Nela and Daniel Brzezińscy, say that Tylko nie bajka is a story of a solitary journey in which only the place of departure is known and after such a journey, everything is possible, including a good and happy life.
