ROKPA CHILDREN, NEPAL

.

ROKPA International was created by Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Lea Wyler and her father, Dr. Veit Wyler as a response to the growing number of Tibetan refugees escaping to Nepal and India in the 1980’s. Since then it has grown to be an international organization working in many countries. In Nepal, ROKPA International has a holistic intervention in the community running a Children’s Home, providing health support, care and an education to poor children. They also host women’s workshops, guest house, soup kitchen, organic farm and medical aid for the whole community.
