Brave Kids 2018!
Call for artistic groups
Are you a group of kids and youth joint together by a common passion like dance, theatre, circus, music or any kind of performing arts?
Would like to share your skills with peers form all over the world?
If you say „yes“, there is no better way than to join the Brave Kids 2018!
What is Brave Kids?
It is simply the most fantastic project in the world for the most fantastic kids!
Brave Kids brings together children and young people from all over the world in an atmosphere of friendship and respect for each other’s cultures.
We share our passions. We learn from each other, we learn about the others and about ourselves.
We play. We have fun. We create together. We make friendships that may last our whole life.
For us there are no geographical, mental or cultural borders.
We all are BRAVE to express who we are.
We are brave to shape our communities.
We are brave to follow our dreams!
The Brave Kids Festival brings children and young people together in artistic experiences aimed to inspire them to imagine a better future for themselves and their communities and providing them with the tools to help realize their aspirations.
What Does It Mean to Be a Brave Kids Group?
Brave Kids Groups are made up of 4-6 young artists accompanied by one adult Leader. Participants should be between 8 and 16 years old. Leaders must be at least 18 years of age, have strong English language proficiency, and know the children in the group well. They can be a teacher or supervisor at the children’s local organization or a person that used to participate in the children’s group.
We are still looking for the following groups:
- A group form Poland to work together with peers from Iran, Ukraine and Czech Republic in Przemyśl from 23rd of June until 8th of July.
- A group from Slovakia to work with peers from Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic in Rzeszów (Poland) from 16th of June until 4th of July.
- A group form Czech Republic to work with peers from Hong-Kong, Buryatia and Morocco in Wałbrzych (Poland) from 20th of June until 9th of July.
Brave Kids has a priority to serve the most disadvantaged children, especially those who are orphans or who are marginalized in some way in their communities (because of socioeconomic status, race, religion, ability, etc.). However, we also welcome participants from more stable backgrounds who are interested in intercultural friendship. We partner with strong, socially-minded, mission-driven organizations, but we also welcome informal groups of children who have started to practice some form of art as a way to improve their lives and their communities.
By becoming a Brave Kids Group you commit to share your skills and culture with other groups.
All participants (children and their leaders) stay in pairs with local families who volunteer to host Brave Kids. The host families provide accommodation and food and organize activities.
