During the war between Rwanda and Burundi, hundreds of people travelled towards Tanzania looking for peace. In 2007, a big effort was made to bring all these people back to their homeland. The children from the IGISABO traditional dance group will give us a glimpse of the rich traditions of Burundi, a country that although is their home, still feels foreign to them. One of the major challenges these children face is language – the official language in Tanzania was English and now, in Burundi, it is French.
