Donya Institute is a non-governmental organization which was established in 1994. Its motto is: “we should teach peace from childhood on”; therefore, superior values such as peace and tolerance are instilled in the children in the first place.
Tales, plays, and traditional costumes are a tool to show that the culture of Iran is based on a philosophy of peace. Children taking part in The Brave Kids project will present a show symbolizing a fight between light and darkness. The fight takes place during three festivals: Yalda - celebrating the birth of light (the Sun), Charshambeh Suri – celebrating the purification ceremony with light of fire, and Nowruz – being a promise of a new day, hope and peace for mankind.
