We invite children, teenagers, parents, grandparents of Brave Kids participants and participants, and everyone willing to see the final presentation of the two-week-long artistic work as part of Brave Kids - Artistic Olympics for Children 2022 Gdańsk.
We will be able to see what the children tell us about themselves and their interests, get to know their talents and emotions, and above all, feel the magic of meeting, cooperation and freedom of expression.
The final presentation of Brave Kids - Artistic Olympics for Children 2022 Gdańsk is being created under artistic instructors: Ola Mońko, Katarzyna Donner, and Aleksandra Lampart.
The two most essential elements of the project - are MEETING and DIVERSITY. MEETING has been the main idea for the Brave Kids for over a decade. This educational and artistic project has been developing in many Polish cities and abroad. Another critical idea has always been the DIVERSITY in all possible aspects, both individual and cultural, linguistic and social. Due to the unpredictability of the situation in the world, this year, the project could not take place in a traditional, multi-international form. Therefore, it once again took the form of a meeting focused on finding diversity among children living in the same city and coming from different cultures. This year, children from Poland and Ukraine are participating in the project.
By creating the Brave Kids - Artistic Olympics for Children 2022, we want to go on with a unique model of work "children teach children". We open ourselves to what is hidden under the masks of everyday life and set out to search and discover the diversity and hidden talents among ourselves and in our backyard!
How it's working?
Brave Kids is an artistic and developmental activity for children interested in creative meeting with others. Workshops are conducted by experienced Brave Kids instructors based on the "children teach children" model. They are based on discovering the potential and talents of individual participants, who then share their skills with others. The workshops include exercises supporting individual participants' expression and freedom of creative activity through artistic elements: movement, dance, art and music, and team games and activities. The workshop aims to strengthen the children's self-confidence, develop the ability to cooperate and work creatively in a group, communicate and empathize.
The event is part of the "Brave Kids - Artistic Olympics for Children 2022" program financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund - a state particular purpose fund.
